Terms & Conditions

This page governs the use of this website and any safari booking or travel-planning assistance you request through it. Please read it before you book — confirming a booking with us means you accept the terms below.

Effective — 18  September 2026 Applies to — Ranthambore bookings only

Who you’re booking with. The domain www.ranthamboretigerreserve.co.in is owned and operated by Wild Enthusiast, an India-based, independent eco-tourism agency. We are not the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, the Rajasthan Forest Department, or any government body, and we do not act on their behalf. Every safari permit we help you secure is issued, priced, and regulated entirely by the Forest Department — we assist with the process; we don’t control the outcome.

How to read “you.” Throughout these terms, “you” refers to anyone using or viewing this website. Using the services offered here means you agree to everything in these Terms & Conditions.

01 What we do

We help you get a confirmed Ranthambore safari — jeep or canter, standard or Tatkal — without you having to navigate the Forest Department’s booking system, ID checks, and permit process yourself. That assistance is a paid service, separate from the government safari fee itself.

A small convenience fee is added on top of the official government ticket price for every booking we secure, typically between ₹1,500 and ₹10,000 per jeep or canter booking, depending on season, vehicle, and how far in advance you book. This fee is disclosed before you pay and covers our time securing the permit, coordinating the vehicle and guide, and handling changes if the Forest Department alters anything after booking.

We are registered as an eco-tourism agency with the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Safaris themselves are booked on the government’s own system on your behalf, or on the spot at the Forest Department ticket window where slots remain available.

02 Booking & payment

Full payment is required upfront to confirm any booking. A booking is held provisionally until payment clears and is only confirmed once we issue a confirmation with your permit or slot details.

  • A confirmed booking is tied to the traveller who made it and cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for a different date, zone, or safari type.
  • If the Forest Department revises its fees, or your final party size differs from what was booked, you’re responsible for paying the difference at the gate before entry.
  • Tatkal safaris open close to the date itself — six days ahead for Tatkal Gypsy, one day ahead for Tatkal Canter (morning), and same-day for Tatkal Canter (evening). Because these windows are set by the Forest Department, confirmation can arrive close to your safari time.
  • Premium Tatkal safaris (Gypsy and Canter) are confirmed 3 days prior safari date.

03 Entry, ID & zone allocation

Carry the exact ID document you submitted at the time of booking — the Forest Department checks this against your permit at the gate, and a mismatch can mean denied entry with no fault on our part.

We do our best to secure your preferred zone, but zone allocation across Zones 1–10 is entirely at the Forest Department’s discretion and subject to availability at the time of booking. We can’t commit to a specific zone for jeep or canter safaris in advance, and we recommend booking with that flexibility in mind.

04 Cancellations & refunds

Once a booking is confirmed and the safari permit has been issued, it is non-cancellable and non-refundable, regardless of the reason. This is our standard policy as a booking facilitator, and it applies uniformly to every confirmed booking.

The 75%/65% figures reflect the coordination and processing work already done on a Tatkal request before confirmation comes through — they aren’t held back as a fee for cancelling, but because that work has already happened whether or not the permit is ultimately issued.

05 Monsoon closures

If the park closes for heavy rain before your permit is issued, we refund 75% of a Gypsy booking or 65% of a Canter booking — the same terms as a pre-confirmation Tatkal cancellation.

If your permit has already been issued at the time of the closure, no refund applies, as the Forest Department does not return the government fee at that stage.

06 Park schedule & closures

  • Zones 1–5 are closed on Tuesdays; Zones 6–10 are closed on Wednesdays.
  • Entry and exit timings are set seasonally by the Forest Department and can change without advance notice.
  • The Forest Department can close the park or a specific zone at its own discretion, without giving a reason — this is outside our control and isn’t grounds for a refund unless it falls under the pre-permit scenarios above.

07 Sightings & experience

Ranthambore is a wild forest, not an enclosure — we can put you in the right zone with an experienced guide, but we can’t promise a tiger sighting or any specific wildlife encounter on a given drive. Anyone booking a safari does so understanding that sightings depend on the animals, the season, and a fair amount of luck.

08 Liability

Our responsibility ends at getting you a confirmed, correctly documented booking. Once you’ve boarded the vehicle, matters such as a flat tyre, a guide or driver’s conduct, or a safari that runs short of its scheduled duration are between you and the vehicle operator or Forest Department, and we’re not liable for them — though we’ll always help you raise it with the right party if something goes wrong.

Safari prices are set by the Forest Department and published openly; we encourage you to check them before booking. Once a booking is placed with us, the price and convenience fee shown at checkout are final and not open to renegotiation after the fact.

09 Changes to these terms

Forest Department rules and fees change from season to season, and we update this page to stay accurate when they do. The version in force at the time you complete a booking is the one that applies to it.

10 Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Alwar, Rajasthan having jurisdiction over any dispute.
